The Many Benefits of Care at a Chiropractic Clinic

One of the many reasons for the continued growth of Chiropractic Care among the medical field is due to the many benefits that can be received from it. In addition many recommend and suggest Chiropractic methods due to the non-invasive and non-harmful approach, as Chiropractic insists upon awakening the body's own natural ability to heal. It is stated that the Power that created the body, heals the body!

Some Common Benefits of beginning Care at a Cape Girardeau Chiropractic Office

If an individual is required to stay active, the presence of these types of dysfunctions can disable you from performing well and limit your motor capacity. This is because of the fact that any form of movement to the damaged area of the body, or change in the nerve system, can result in pain and discomfort.

Regardless of what has caused your initial discomfort, some of the highlighted benefits of beginning care at a Cape Girardeau Chiropractic Clinic are as follows:

• Improved circulation (better blood flow)
• Reduction or elimination of lactic acid (less pain following exercise)
• Smoother travel of oxygen and nutrients in the body (better healing capacity)
• More flexibility (better performance)
• Elimination of any pain or soreness (can get back to activities faster)

People all know that Chiropractic may be able to help them with back pain, neck pain, and headaches. However, there is so much more that a Cape Girardeau Chiropractic Clinic can do for them. The benefits for people with dysfunction in the nervous system go well beyond the musculoskeletal system and many people receive these types of additional highlights as well:

• If a woman is pregnant, they are able to deliver much easier when they have balance to their body.

This is different for everyone. When you receive your first correction you have begun your path towards new and improved health. Your body will start to realign and you may feel relieved pressure and pain in your joints and body. In patients with mild problems, they often immediately experience some relief and see some of these benefits. This is one of the best advantages over surgical or medical procedures! No long recovery period before starting to feel better!

Some cases do take longer to see changes. Often times these patients have more chronic issues. In these cases the patient may feel a slight soreness or aching as the body starts to readjust and rebalance to its normal position. This again is part of the healing process and is to be expected with more serious cases. Even if this is you, it shouldn't take long before you can start to see your body regain its healing capacity and start to return to normal functioning and mobility!

Iridology - Looking Into the Window of the Body

Iridology is not something that would normally be discussed in a MI optometrist office. A MI optometrist might call iridology quackery. That said, there are many people who view iridology as an interesting form of diagnostics. Iridology is considered an alternative medical practice that takes the notion of eyes being windows into the soul almost literally, and believes they are at the very least windows into the health of the body.

Iridology is based on the belief that the body functions in a holistic fashion, whereby the organs and various parts of the body are connected by energy meridians. These meridians can be found through out the body, but can be clustered in various extremities. Reflexology believes all the organs have corresponding points in the feet and hands. The ear is another body part that holds points that correspond with the body. Acupuncture is an ancient medicine that relies on meridians and also sees these points clustered in feet, hands, ears, tongue and other areas of the body. Iridology is simply the study of the iris, assigning different segments and locations of the body able to reflect the health or lack of health with different indicators.

The right and left eye are mirror reflections of each other and represent different sides of the body. If the eye were a clock face with 12 being the top and 6 the bottom, then the various organs would be flipped horizontally. For example, the one o'clock position on the right eye represents the forehead and temple. This would be in the eleven o'clock position on the left eye. Each segment of the eye radiating out from the iris, like spokes on a bicycle wheel, is associated with a body part. In addition there are rings around the iris like ripples on a still pond, which also have significance. The head is the top, the feet the bottom, the skin on the outer most portion of the iris and the internal organs closer to the pupil. By looking into these areas, an iridologist determines what is happening within the body.

Iridology relies on the concept that the iris is as distinct as a finger print and offers insight into the individuals' physical, emotional and mental health. It is also based on the concept the illness starts from within and works its way out. It believes that the best possible treatment relies on diagnosing the core problem from which the symptoms emanate. The idea is to work in reverse order of the appearance of symptoms to help promote better health and trace back to the original problem. Iridology is not a science that can determine what the illness or disease might be. It is used more to look at the wellness of a body and determine what tissue masses are encountering problems. It has often been used as an early indicator to potential disease.

Iridology is used by many alternative healers in the same way that a doctor might use the information gathered from listening to a cough, taking blood pressure or looking at a tongue. It has its advocates and its critics. Those who believe in iridology believe it offers a literal insight into health.

Connor Sullivan recently visited a Grand Blanc MI optometrist [http://lionheartoptometry.com/grand_blanc] when he was traveling on business. He purchased new eye glasses from a Sandusky MI optometrist [http://lionheartoptometry.com/sandusky] while he was there.

What is Iridology and How Iridology Works

According to iridologists, the iris of the eye represents a kind of map of the human glands, organs, and systems of the whole human body. Problems show up on the iris as spots, flecks, white or dark streaks, and so on. Texture and color indicate the person's general state of health.

Some iridologists claim they can find tendencies toward inherited disease and possible future problems, and some even address emotional and spiritual health problems this way. Common conditions that iridologists claim to be able to diagnose include arthritis, heart disease, skin problems, and allergies.

Iridology was developed in the 19th century by the Hungarian Dr. Ignatiz von Peckzely, who as a boy noticed changes in the eye of an owl with a broken leg as the owl made its recovery. He published his theories in 1881, and soon after a Swedish doctor, Nils Lilinquist, added his own observations.

But iridology did not become widely popular until Dr. Bernard Jensen pioneered its use in the United States. In 1950 he published a chart that showed the location of every gland and organ reflected in each eye. The left eye, he said, corresponds with the left-hand side of the body, the right with the right-hand side. Generally speaking the upper organs (for example, the brain) are at the top of the iris, and the lower ones (for example, the kidneys) at the bottom. The bodily systems - digestion, blood and lymph, glands and organs, muscles, skeleton, and skin - appear in six rings around the pupil.

Some practitioners examine the iris with a flashlight and magnifying glass. Others take color photographs or transparencies (slides) that are magnified and read.

Because iridology is a purely diagnostic tool, it is best to see a practitioner who is also qualified in some form of treatment to benefit properly. Iridology, or "iris diagnosis," is widely used by many natural therapists to aid diagnosis and assessment, particularly in the United States, Germany, and Australia.

Many iridologists also practice nutritional therapy and will prescribe herbal remedies or nutritional supplements to help the condition that they detect. The aim is to pinpoint the underlying causes of generalized symptoms such as joint pain or bowel problems, both of which may be the result of an allergy, and to support and rebalance the whole body system.

IRIDOLOGY
A BRIEF HISTORY OF IRIDOLOGY
Individual have studied the eye for thousand of years. Records show that iridology was practiced by the Greek physician Hippocrates and also in ancient china about 6000 years ago. Presently iridology has developed in the United States, Europe and other parts of the earth.

IRIDOLOGY AN ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE
Iridology in alternative medicine studies the iris (the colored part of the eye) to understand the overall health patterns of the body. Iridology also attempts to identify inherited strengths, weaknesses and general illness patterns rather than to name specific disease.
Physicians who practice iridology are called iridologist. In there practice they look for tendencies towards inflammation, build up of toxins and the endocrine system.
Iridologists believe that iridology is a rapid safe and painless assessment tool to be used in conjunct with other traditional or alternative methods of diagnosis and treatment.
Iridology use microscope, special photography equipment, magnifying glass, flash light structure appearance and irregular lines. Iridology can also be used to predict a post traumatic stress or disorientation of patients as well as to examine the vitals of a patient.
Iridology is a highly accurate diagnostic tool used to examine the body to know if a medical doctor will be required for further treatment. Iridologists are also known to be professionals in other fields of alternative medicines.

IRIS CHART
The iris chart helps to show the link between the iris and specific parts of the body. The iridologist than records the pattern in the eye to a point than recommends preventive or supportive health practices or further consultation with another specialist.
Finally iridology is very painless and safe. It could make an individual have more knowledge about his or her body an individual could know the state of his or her metabolism the procedure could also be used to show if a patient is genetically predisposed to diseases like cancer. In essence iridology can point a patient in the right direction by identifying areas of the body that are unhealthy.

CHIROPRACTIC MEDICINE
Chiropractic medicine is based on the theory that our nervous system is the key to maintaining homeostasis (the tendency of biological systems of internal equilibrium) or a healthy balance in our body.
Chiropractors believe that the human body is susceptible to disease when the internal balance is disrupted by vertebra misalignment or of other joints and muscles that disturb the proper functioning of the nervous system due to tissue injury.
Chiropractors primarily treat patients with conditions such as back pain, neck pain and headaches. This is because the procedure focuses on the nervous system, the circulatory system, and a patients nutrition, exercise and other life style choices, chiropractic also examines the combined effect of the factors on a patients overall health and the prevention of disease.

Chiropractic medicine adheres to the belief that diagnosis and treat of ailments in the musculoskeletal system will have a positive holistic effect on a person’s overall health.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF CHIRORACTIC MEDICINE
Spinal, muscle, tissue manipulation has being practiced since the beginning of time; this could be seen in ancient Egyptian, Indian, Babylonian, Japanese, Chinese Syrian, Tibetan, papyrus records. However, Chinese records which date from about 2700 B.C provide one of the earlier written references to spinal manipulation. The Greeks also had records of chiropractic medicine which dated back to at least 1500 B.C.

And in the last 100 years Daniel David palmer was the first to perform chiropractic alternative health medicine in 1895 on a patient who had become deaf about 17 years earlier after he felt some thing give, in his back after D.D. Palmer examine the back and gave a crude adjustment in what he believed was a misplaced vertebra in the upper spine. The patient then observes that his hearing improved.

D.D Palmer continued to explore the relationship between joint dysfunction. How it affects the nervous system, and the impact of both human health. And in 1897 he founded the palmer school of chiropractic alternative health practice in Daven port iowa.
His son B.J Palmer later pioneered the expansion and popularization of his father legacy through out his life. D.D Palmers chiropractic medicine has being a subject of much controversy in the orthodox medical society.
